The promenade that leads to Tomorrowland is called the Avenue of the Planets. This leads you to the heart of a futuristic intergalactic community, where humans, aliens and robots come together to work, play and socialize. Tomorrowland boasts its very own Chamber of Commerce, Convention Center, transit system, and newspaper (the Tomorrowland Times!), and the colorful, kinetic art-deco stylings reminiscent of Buck Rogers are evident everywhere you look. Tomorrowland is also the Earth-bound headquarters of the League of Planets, making it a favorite gathering place for travelers from all across the galaxy—pretty far out!

Magical Moments

  • Tomorrowland really comes alive at nighttime. A futuristic kaleidoscope of neon lights line the Avenue of the Planets, making you feel as if you’re right in the heart of an alien city.
  • Tomorrowland is filled with whimsical little touches. Look closely at the signs lining the Avenue of the Planets…you’ll find quite a few surprises!

Hidden Mickeys & Other Secrets

  • Near the Lunching Pad at Rockettower Plaza (underneath the TTA), look carefully for a small Hidden Mickey etched in the pavement.

Did You Know...?

  • As you approach Rockettower Plaza you’ll see a large sphere perched on a marble stand. The sphere is supported by a thin film of water, allowing you to spin the sphere in its base. The sphere itself is so heavy that the fountain of water supporting it would shoot 210 feet in the air if the sphere were removed.
    Sometimes the fountain may be turned off due to drought conditions, but you can still examine the sphere for some surprises (see if you can find Cinderella’s Castle!).
  • The paving in Tomorrowland is marked with a distinctive design of orbital paths and planetary shapes, sort of like a road map to the Galaxy!

Touring Tips

  • If you’re in the mood for some out-of-this-world dining entertainment (literally), be sure to visit Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
  • You can dance the night away at the Tomorrowland Dance Party, held every evening near the entrance to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
  • Looking for a quiet area to watch the evening fireworks? You’ll find light crowds in the area near Cosmic Ray’s! While you won’t have a view of Cinderella Castle, you’ll get a great view of the fireworks, and best of all…small crowds! (Sometimes you may even find you have the area to yourself!)
