As soon as you enter Fantasyland from Cinderella Castle, you’ll immediately see the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. Pick out your favorite horse and enjoy the ride!

The Carrousel features over 80 horses (every one of them white!), and a series of art panels circling the top of the Carrousel that tell the story of Cinderella.

Magical Moments

  • Visit the Carrousel at night when it’s all lit up. The dazzling lights that fill up every inch of the Carrousel are stunning and not to be missed.
  • Even if you don’t want to ride, take a moment to watch the Carrousel and listen to the carnival style music.
  • Be sure to catch the Sword in the Stone Ceremony that takes place right in front of the Carrousel throughout the day (check your park map for show times). If you have little ones have them sit up front, they just might get chosen to participate!/li>

Did You Know...?

  • There are a grand total of 90 horses on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
  • By now you may be wondering if we’re spelling Carrousel wrong. That’s actually the old-fashioned spelling and is the version that was selected to reflect the nostalgic charm of the attraction (note that the Carousel of Progress uses the modern day spelling with one ‘r’).
  • Every horse is decorated with a distinct color palette, making every one of them unique. Additionally, each horse carries its own identifying number on its bridle.

Touring Tips

  • Sit on the outside if you want your parents to take your picture as you ride. That way they’ll have a good view of you as you circle past.
  • Every horse moves up and down, so you don’t have to worry about searching one out.
  • The Carrousel is moderately popular, and not usually as crowded as some of the other attractions in Fantasyland. Remember that the Carrousel holds a lot of people, so the line will move quickly (once it gets going).
  • The further away from the inside you sit, the faster you go. The Carrousel doesn’t present much of a motion sickness problem, but if you have any concerns you should try to sit closer to the center.
