This pavilion features a collection of buildings and styles from all across the United Kingdom including Hyde Park, Yorkshire and Regency. You’ll see an authentic British Pub, the beautiful Butterfly and Knot Herb garden, a Court Palace, and even an authentic hedge maze!

Keep your eyes open for a few other surprises, including an authentically detailed proper British phone booth (red, of course) and a romantic Shakespearean cottage.

Magical Moments

  • You’ll find a peaceful courtyard tucked away inside the pavilion. It’s a great place to sit and relax (and enjoy some fish and chips!).
  • Look for the hedge maze in the courtyard; it’s a favorite spot for younger kids (and grown ups) to play.

Hidden Mickeys & Other Secrets

  • You’ll find a Hidden Mickey on the sign for the Sportsman’s Shoppe, formed out of a tennis racquet, a soccer ball and a rugby ball.
  • Look in the upstairs window of The Queen’s Table to find the crests of Oxford, Cambridge, Eton, and Edinburgh (these are the four major universities in the United Kingdom).

  • The toy store is located in a replica of Henry VIII’s Hampton Court Palace.
  • The garden maze was inspired by the Somerleyton Hall Maze which was built in 1846.

Touring Tips

  • You just might be entertained by the World Showcase Players (a comic improve troupe) who perform near the front of the pavilion throughout the day.
  • Be sure to take a stroll through the Butterfly and Knot Herb Garden, found adjacent to the courtyard. Here you’ll find one of the more unusual exhibits in Epcot; a Chrysalis Box featuring a variety of beautiful butterflies pinned inside the box on display.
  • Look for the KIDCOT pavilion, where children can color in a special World Showcase mask and have their passports or autograph books signed and stamped (passports can be obtained at most World Showcase gift shops, our Guide to the Magic for Kids book also contains special World Showcase sections with lots of extras).
  • The Rose and Crown is a proper British pub, featuring fabulous views of World Showcase Lagoon. On the lagoon side, the pub is a faithful recreation of a waterside saloon on the Thames River. On the pavilion side it’s reminiscent of a friendly neighborhood tavern in Soho. The Rose and Crown bears the dignified Latin moto, “Otium Cum Dignitate” (“Leisure with Dignity”).
  • Visit the Yorkshire County Fish and Chips stand to try, well, fish and chips! (Chips are french fries, by the way!)
  • There are lots of places to shop here! You’ll find all sorts of items including British candy, toys and games (your parents may be more interested in the great selection of teas and perfume).
  • You’ll often find Winnie-the-Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and the rest of their friends around to meet and greet you (they may be inside one of the shops if it’s a very hot day).
  • Mary Poppins and Alice can also be spotted here throughout the day.
