Themed after the train seen in the classic film Dumbo, this interactive play area is a great place for kids (and grown-ups!) to cool off.

Be sure to keep your eyes open for the start of Casey Jr.’s (pretend) journey. Steam from the engine (cooling mist, actually) and railroad noises announce the “departure,” though unlike the Walt Disney World Railroad, you don’t actually go anywhere. However, it’s fun to get sprayed by the mist anyway! The whistle blows about every 10 minutes.

Magical Moments

  • This is a great place for parents to relax while the little ones have their own brand of fun. Seeing the smiles on those little faces is sure to bring you a touch of that Disney magic!
  • If the Florida sun is too much for you, this is the place to be. As long as you don’t mind getting a little bit wet (or soaked!).

Hidden Mickeys & Other Secrets

  • Look for the boxcar with the giraffes on top, and see if you can spot the Hidden Mickey in the clouds behind the larger giraffe.
  • Each of the train cars has a two digit number on the door. Those numbers represent the year that each Walt Disney World park opened, starting with 71 for the Magic Kingdom, which of course opened its gates in 1971. Can you match the other doors up to the right parks?

Did You Know...?

  • You can find Casey Jr. in both Disneyland and Disneyland Paris…sort of. In those parks, Casey Jr. is an actual train that takes Guests on tour through some beautifully detailed miniature scenes from classic Disney films.

Touring Tips

  • Watch out for the squirting camel! Do you remember where you can find another one? (Hint: he’s somewhere in Adventureland.)
  • You can spend as much time as you want exploring the Splash ‘n’ Soak Station. If you have younger children, it’s usually a good idea to agree on the amount of time you’ll stay so there are no misunderstandings.
  • Be aware that there is a metal fence that surrounds some of the trains. It may get a little slippery, so make sure your children don’t climb on it, as tempting as that may be.
  • Since this is a water play area, your children may get wet! It’s a good idea to bring a swimsuit or a change of clothes. Of course, if you wander in too closely you may find yourself on the wrong end of a spitting camel…
