Your journey starts as you climb aboard your very own sail boat (though this is unlike any sailboat you’ve ever seen!). You’ll first visit the bedrooms of Wendy, Peter and Michael, and in no time you’ll find yourself flying right out of the window and across the yard (courtesy of a bit of pixie dust from Tinkerbell)! Next, you’ll be soaring high above the streets of London, and pretty soon you’ll make your way to Never Land.

Keep your eyes open for the Lost Boys, the mermaid pool, a volcano and, oh yes, Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Fear not though, Peter Pan is there to save everyone, and in the end Captain Hook gets his just reward.

Magical Moments

  • The moment the ride begins you’ll find yourself flying out the window of Wendy, Michael and John’s house. The unexpected sensation of flight is something you’ll never forget.
  • The flight over London is especially magical. Look on the streets below, you’ll actually see tiny cars driving around throughout the town!
  • See how far down you can look into the volcano!
  • The final scene where Peter Pan conquers the pirates and saves the day is fun, but there’s one more scene to go. Keep an ear out for a familiar ticking sound…

Hidden Mickeys & Other Secrets

  • Near the entrance, look closely at the tree trunks to find a Hidden Mickey lurking in the bark (it’s the fourth tree from the end as you approach the turnstile).
  • Look closely (and quickly!) at the toy blocks on the floor in the nursery (they’re to your right). One set spells out “Disney” and the other “PPan”.
  • The weather vane on the attraction building has Captain Hook’s pirate ship on the top!

Did You Know...?

  • Peter Pan’s Flight uses the classic Disney trick of forced-perspective to enhance the illusion of height during the flight-over-London sequence. Only this time, it’s the bases of the buildings that are intentionally foreshortened, making it appear as if you’re flying high overhead.

Touring Tips

  • Peter Pan’s Flight is one of the more popular attractions in Fantasyland, and the queue line weaves back and forth around the corner of the building. On moderately busy days wait times can easily run to 45 minutes or an hour. Because the queue line is cramped and moves very slowly, you’ll want to avoid spending any significant time waiting (especially if you have little ones in tow).
  • The best way to avoid a long wait is to use FastPass+. While you’re waiting for your FastPass+ time to arrive, you can usually tour the less crowded attractions in Fantasyland such as “it’s a small world.”
  • Alternatively, you can try to visit early in the morning or during a parade or show to avoid a long wait.
  • Interestingly, even though Peter Pan’s Flight is open during Extra Magic Hours, its line lengths are often still long, due to the nearby Mickey’s PhilharMagic show. Your best bet is to try and time your arrival well after the PhilharMagic show lets out to let the crowd disperse or to try it later on in the evening.
  • Peter Pan’s Flight is quite charming but very short. Keep that in mind as you contemplate the time you’ll have to wait. If lines are longer than 20 minutes you’ll definitely want to take advantage of the strategies listed above to maximize your enjoyment of this classic attraction.
  • Although it’s possible to squeeze two adults and a small child into one car, it’s usually better to split up so one adult rides alone.
