The Country Bear Jamboree is a sit-down theater attraction where you’ll be entertained by a zany collection of fun loving critters including 18 bears, a raccoon, a buffalo, a stag, a moose (and the occasional skunk!).

The show takes place in Grizzly Hall, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself humming the toe tappin’ theme song long after the show is over!

Sometimes the Country Bears will make an appearance in the streets of Frontierland. If they do, you just might get to see a surprise hoedown!

You may notice that the floor of Grizzly Hall is a bit distressed. Closer inspection will reveal that those are actually claw marks!

Did You Know...?

There are a total of 18 bears on hand to entertain you (as well as a raccoon, a buffalo, a stag, a moose, and, how could we forget, a skunk!)
Imagineer Marc Davis, who developed the Country Bear Jamboree concept, also was responsible for bringing many of the sight gags in the Pirates of the Caribbean to life.
The voice of Henry (the master of ceremonies), may sound familiar. His name is Pete Renaday, and he also provided the voice voice of Abraham Lincoln in the Hall of Presidents.
The Disneyland version, which opened in 1972, never enjoyed the popularity of the Florida version. Two theaters had been built to accommodate the anticipated crowds, but due to low attendance the second theater was rarely used. On September 9, 2001, the attraction was closed to make way for the California version of the Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh.

Touring Tips

The Country Bear Jamboree theater is a bit smaller than the other theater shows in the Magic Kingdom. If it’s especially crowded you may find yourself waiting through a couple of shows before you enter. If that’s the case you might want to try to visit early or late in the day to avoid the crowds.
