The Magic of Disney Animation
Playhouse Disney Live!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Echo Lake
Hollywood Boulevard
Mickey Avenue
Streets of America
Sunset Boulevard

Opened:
May 1, 1989 (with the rest of the Disney's Hollywood Studios)
Origins: When the original concept for the Disney's Hollywood Studios was being developed, it was a given that part of the park would be devoted to actual production facilities. The large green gateway at the end of Hollywood Boulevard marked the entrance to the working studio, and the Animation Courtyard was developed to serve as the home for the newly created Florida Walt Disney Feature Animation Studios.
Updates: Animation Courtyard played host to an actual animation studio (one that guests could tour via the Magic of Disney Animation attraction). In 2003 however, the animation studios were closed with the production facilities being relocated back to California. The walking tour of the animation studios was modified to present guests with an overview of the animation process via films, demonstrations by Disney animators and the opportunity for guests to try their hand at animating at the Animation Academy.
