| Space Mountain is arguably
the biggest thrill ride in the Magic
Kingdom. Tight turns, sudden drops
and high speeds make this a wild experience.
And don't forget that it's all in the
dark,
so
you won't see what's
coming next! For those who are nervous
about such things, there are no inversions
(loops or corkscrews) on Space Mountain. |

 |
 |
| When they say "Blast
Off" they're not kidding! Space Mountain
is pretty fast, especially in the turns
and dips. Unlike newer coasters (such
as the Rock n Roller Coaster at Disney/MGM
Studios) that send you off with a rocket
fast start, Space Mountain begins with
a conventional slow climb up the first
hill before propelling you
into outer space. |

|
 |
 |
| The combination of darkness,
shooting stars and futuristic tunnels
really make you feel as if you're flying
through space. Be sure to check out
Mission Control on your initial ascent! |

 |
| Space Mountain is full
of sudden turns and quick drops. The
fact that you're in the dark makes
the ride that much wilder since you
can't see what's coming. You'll get
bounced
around a lot, and the sudden
dips might make your stomach do a few
summersaults. |

 |
| Space Mountain is the
most popular attraction at the Magic
Kingdom (rivaled only by Splash Mountain),
and usually features the longest wait
times in the park. FastPass is highly
recommended; be sure to check out Touring
Tips for other ways to beat the
crowds. |

| Your race through the
cosmos lasts nearly 3 minutes. |

This premier coaster, while not
sporting any loops or flips, is still a favorite and one
of the most visited attractions at the Magic Kingdom. Newer
coasters may boast more sheer thrills, but none can match
the experience of hurtling through the galaxy like Space
Mountain can. |
