| Most of the ride is
tame, but the last plunge is one of
the biggest thrills you'll find
at the Magic Kingdom. The drop is 52
1/2 feet long and pitched at a 45º
angle. The plunge is actually not quite
as
bad as it appears, and it's over before
you know it, but don't let that fool
you—this is one of the most exhilarating
thrill rides you'll find anywhere!

ride is relaxing, just a gentle flume
ride down a meandering stream. But
watch out for that last drop—you'll
hit speeds of 40 mph, making it one
of
the fastest
attractions in the Magic Kingdom (for
a few brief seconds anyway). |

frightening (you can hear the screaming
as soon as you enter Frontierland!),
and you'll certainly get that weightless,
stomach-in-your-throat sensation as
you race down into the briar patch.
But it's over before you know it, and
any lingering effects from Splash Mountain
should be of the dry-yourself-off variety,
not queeziness. |
